The Garage is excited to host an opening reception for “New Work” by Jesse Wells and Kristin Smith this Friday, June 5th from 5:30-8:00pm. Come enjoy refreshments, friends, and art! The exhibition includes…

“Fault Zones” by Jesse Wells: New work focused on the physical chasm between individuals exemplified during ambivalent and complex moments.  With stunt doubles on fire and boxers embracing, this work seeks to highlight the quiet caught within the chaos, and people trying to come to grips with themselves and others.

Drawings and Sculpture by Kristin Smith: A collection of work about animals investigating the world that they live in. The pieces show a variety of creatures exploring strange habitats and forms, trying to make sense of their surroundings.

Gallery Hours: During scheduled events or by appointment. For more information, visit the Garage online at www.thegarage-cville.com.

Join us this Friday from 5:00-7:30pm at the Garage for the opening of Jeremy Seth Taylor’s show “Salus.” Jeremy is an artist and professor at James Madison University. His new show, “Salus,” features new drawings, paintings, prints, and objects…all made from natural, organic pigments, and ecologically responsible materials. “Salus” means “safety” in Latin; Jeremy uses the theme of safety to address issues of how animals adapt to their environment in a world far removed from nature.

We haven’t been this excited about a show in a long time. You don’t want to miss it. Jeremy’s work is stunning.
