Join us tomorrow night - Tuesday, August 25th - for a lovely outdoor concert by David Dondero, Erik Petersen, and Lux Perpetua. Show starts at 8:00pm. We’ve been a fan of David’s for years; it should be a good end-of-summer, hill-lounging show.
Stop by this Friday for a rocking show by D.B.B. Plays Cups and the Caninos. The Garage loves D.B.B. and is looking forward to this Neil Young/Crazy Horse-esque collaboration. Show starts at 9:00pm. It looks like it’s giong to be great weather!

Tomorrow night…The Garage Goes Dressy!
Come out to the Garage this Friday from 6-8pm to see the unveiling a giant dressy outfit created specifically for the Garage by local artist and curator of the Garage, Kate Daughdrill. The Garage’s dressy outfit is a form-fitting, vintage piece that falls somewhere between business casual and formal. Come in your dressy outfit so you don’t feel out of place!
After the First Fridays opening, Dusty Brown (NYC) and Joe Pollock (Cville) will be playing solo shows starting at 8:00pm. It should be a very special, intimate night with two amazing musicians!

At the end of August, the Garage announced a secret grand opening concert to kick-off a year of intimate, free shows. The official grand opening of the Garage was planned for the night of Patrick Costello’s opening…so we billed Ed and Olivia’s show as the Secret Grand Opening.
The night opened with an acoustic set one of Charlottesville’s newest bands, the Hill and Wood. Ed Donohue (NYC) and Olivia Mancini (DC) followed with an acoustic set of their own, playing songs by their respective bands Donny Hue and the Colors and Olivia and the Housemates. Charlottesville’s own Thomas Dean even joined Ed and Olivia on stage, playing a few songs on his tiny guitar.
The show didn’t end up being much of a secret…and was a great way to celebrate the Garage’s opening.
